Talk to me about "colon cleansing" TMI

So, I thought that was hoop-lah until today. I have been eating regularly, going to the bathroom regularly, etc. Everything has been normal. Then today I haven't been able to get out of the bathroom. Everything is coming out of my system and it is very unusual for me. I have no fever and am wondering if this is "colon cleansing", when will labor pick up? Tell me your experiences please!

I have no experience of my own to go on, just what a girlfriend told me about her experience.
She went to the hospital with minor contractions. She was only a 3cm so they sent her home. She went home and completly 'emptied out'. Since it was her first and she was panicing, she went back to the hospital... and was at an 8. All that in the course of 45 minutes!
So, her labor progressed fairly quickly as soon as she was empty. So, I'd say it won't be too long for you... or maybe you just ate some mexican food or something?!!!
