He's such a cool horse. I've heard that you either love or hate Totillas ... I was reading on COTH (I think) that a lot of the dressage community thinks he's too "Saddlebred-y" in front. I wouldn't mind taking him for a spin, though.
I find dressage absolutely fascinating. I was a jumper when I was younger, but my mom did dressage before she hurt her back. Lots of knee work there, but looks like a fun ride

I ride Saddlebreds. The knee action does NOT bother me in the least bit ... But I understand from a dressage person's POV that his knees are somewhat distracting! I would love to ride a top-notch eventer, though, at least once before I die. I'd need one helluva packer, jumping scares the crap out of me (last bad fall I had was off a 12hh hunter pony).
My trainer's stallion is trained to PSG. He is like riding water. Smooth, carries himself completely, huge motor coming from behind and just glides. That extended trot, you're just hanging in the air (much like saddlebreds, from what I remember the few times I've ridden them), except you're not seated so far back. Almost autopilot as long as you're balanced, correct, and steady with your contact. A BLAST.
CFO, the thought gives me chills. I've ridden a few *very* nice Saddlebreds (location - I live in the ASB "Capital of the World"), but everything else I've ridden has been so-so. You know, like B level mid-ribboning type horses.

Ugh, I can't wait to ride again.
Me too!!! *Those* are the moments that make it all worth it!!
You can see him (and me on the picture page w/ Zen) at www.weatherleawarmbloods.com. She's bred and raised ALL of her own horses.

Oh, he's gorgeous. I love big, thick Warmbloods (which makes no sense, given my discipline, LOL). Zen's gorgeous, by the way! I have a thing for chestnuts.
Living in KY's a huge tease for me right now. Almost 34 weeks pregnant, surrounded by horse farms. Grrr.

Either of you coming to the WEG next year?
No, but I would love to go at least once in my life.
Thanks, ladies!! I just started weekly lessons again, so that's a great motivator for me.
On the $$$ front, I invested in a very nice 2 year old about 5 years ago, who turned out to not be the horse for me. But I was single, making good money, and didn't have a DH to report to. haha. I sold him...and made a good amount of money. That is what I use to board and train w/... DH can't say anything because it was my investment from long ago, and it works for us!

I would love to be on a horse that well trained.
Exactly.
