I have some that were slightly used and baby #2 is on the way. I will sterilize them of course, but they are over a year old. Is this not hygenic- probably not huh? Just wondering your thoughts. Sorry if it's a dumb question.
You'll probably get a resounding no on this one, but we'll probably re-use some of DS's. ?Not the slow flow since they saw the most use, but we've got a ton of mediums that he used for a very short time, and I will use those again.
Outside of Nestland, this isn't a big deal- most people I know reuse the nipples if baby #2 is close in age to #1.?

the hygiene question wouldn't concern me - it's the condition of them. as your baby sucks, the holes gradually get larger. a new slow nipple and the slow nipples dd uses now would not flow at the same rate. plus, they break down over time. i'd use new.
Well, since my babies are so close together, I never even put them away. In fact Joey and Tyler shared the same bottles and nipples for a long time, of course. So I don't really see an issue with re-using nipples. I am thinking of getting new ones this time though, the ones I have are getting a little worn.
Re: Should I re-use baby bottle nipples for #2?
I don't think so
nipples aren't expensive
