OK - for the last 2 nights I've gotten DS to sleep for 5+ hr stretches by soothing him back to sleep versus getting him out o his crib to feed. I have given him a paci, patted him, even picked him up for a bref time to comfort him and he's gone back to sleep pretty well.
Well I read on kellymom.com that you should not use pacifiers to stretch out time between feedings.
Is this bad/wrong?
Re: Let's talk pacifiers
I would be miserable without the Pacifier. I truly believe it is the reason I am still able to BF!
If he is truly hungry the paci wont work for long. If he keeps spitting it out and fussing, he is probably hungry. Otherwise, he just wants to suck for comfort and the paci is a wonderful thing for that
