Jon and Kate Plus 8

In a stunning announcement, TLC said Tuesday morning that as of Nov. 2 Jon Gosselin would no longer appear on the popular reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 ? and the program would undergo a name change, to simply Kate Plus 8.

    those poor babies! I could care less about Jon or Kate but I really really feel for the kids. If I were Jon I would probably tell TLC they could no longer film my kids!

    You can already see that the kids are being affected by all this.  Sweet Cara had a major meltdown on a recent show.  Screaming at her sister and throwing a big fit.  That is just not like Cara, Mady yes, not Cara. 

    And I am so tired of listening to how Kate has to do this all on her own.  She is not on her own!  She has people cooking, cleaning, and taking care of her kids for her.

    Ugh, I was hoping you were going to say that it was announced that the show has been canceled.  I just can't stand to watch it anymore.  I feel so bad for those kids.

    I wonder what he's going to do for money, then?  I confess I am still watching this train-wreck of a show.  I don't mind the absense of Jon.  He always seems "checked-out" and even when he's there, he doesn't seem to be "there."  Or he doesn't want to be, at least.

    Thank you! I'm not buying the martyr act at all. I hardly watch the show, I've seen probably 3 episodes total. I saw the birthday party one where she kept talking about doing it all on her own. I told DH we should make it a drinking game. 

    Maybe Kate irritates me so much because DH's step-mom (stbx) is exactly the same way. She always talks about how hard her life is and how being a SAHM is like two FT jobs. Uh huh, yes I get that, but the reality gets lost coming from a woman who has four people who come to clean the house weekly, a nanny who cooks and does the laundry and landscapers who keep up the outside of the house. WTH does the woman do! Every time we've visited she has the tv on and her laptop open in front of her.

    Here's hoping the show is gone soon... but those poor kids are gonna need therapy.. for the divorce and for the divorce of cameras being around them.  You think about it, the staff/crew is probably "like family" to the kids... then all of a sudden their gone.  sucks.  I'm sick of hearing about them.

    I have a feeling its because jon will be on a differant show.  When they did his dateline interview they asked him about a show called divorced dads club with Michael Lohan.  He did not talk about it to much but it did seem like he was in on it already.

    Apparently he went to the courts in PA today and extended their separation.  He says he's sorry for being with all these women and needs more time to think things out.  He never said he wanted to get back with Kate though.  My thoughts are that he did this so he could continue to get money out of the show.  Once the divorce is final he's done with the money from the show.

    They need to cancel the show and move on...really, enough is enough!
