Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Can someone help explain this to me...confused

At about 14dpo I POAS and it was +.  Had blood work done the next day, also +.  Betas were 77.  Did another 4 pee tests and all were +.

Had a sonogram yesterday, 21dpo and it showed nothing according to my doctor.  Had blood work done but don't know those results yet.

I have had no bleeding whatsoever. I have also had no real pregnancy symptoms except the + tests.

Doctor can't see me until Thursday AM.

What could this mean/be?  Maybe a missed miscarriage?  if it was a missed miscarriage what do they do?

TIA

  • Could it have been a blight ovum? That is when the egg is fertile and implants - but the baby never grows. On u/s- you can see the sack  - but no baby inside.

I would imagine and hope all your questions would be answered during your next appt. There really isn't any way for us know what happened or went wrong.

I am really sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))) I know it is really hard.

  • It could have been that...I guess I thoguht they would at least be able to see a gestational sac.  Anyway, I will find out on thursday I guess. Thanks for your reply:)
  • I wouldn't say you miscarried just yet. Sometime's it's hard to see anything on the sono when you're still so early.

I agree with this, you could just be to early. Have you had AF since having your LO?

  • I am sorry you are going through this. This is exactly how things started out for me however we found after the d&c and all blank ultrasounds that there was no pregnancy tissue present in what was in the uterus and they deemed it tublar and gave me the metha... shot which is working which I could not be happier about.

I had no pain, no bleeding, no nothing so they were shocked that it ended up being tublar...

Only one AF since LO...started on August 17th.

  • Not to incite panic, but they may watch you for ectopic.

Hopefully it was just too early to see anything.
