I love to eavesdrop on DS#1 (4) when he plays. Overheard this morning while DS was playing with his plastic dinosaurs:
DS: "Plotosaurus, I'll give you two stickers, but you have to be very patient."
Plotosaurus, who speaks in a very high-pitched voice: "Okay, I promise I'll be patient."
Can you tell we've been talking a lot about the importance of patience lately?
ETA: I also love it when he imitates the narrator of a dinosaur documentary. "The velociraptor sneaks up on his prey" sounds like "The ve-waw-so-wap-tor sneaks up on his pwey."
Re: S/O from the independent play topic...
That is adorable!
At 2 yrs 2 months DD is just getting into imaginative play and although it's not fully developed yet, she has a little doll house and mini-swing set that she can put her "guys" on. Everytime she puts one of them on the swing she says "weeee" in a high-pitched voice. It's hilarious! She also disciplines the dog that came with the house saying "no doggie", pointing to him and making her 'mean' face. It's like we're watching little adults huh?!
