IUI ladies....ugh-? for you.

I was supposed to call RE when I got a morning positive OPK.  Well, at 7:00 this morning it was negative and at 11:45 it was positive.

I called the dr and he said the 11:45 was to late to do the IUI tomorrow.  So, it looks like Wednesday is the day!

Anyone know why they want a morning + rather than the afternoon?  This whole timing thing has me anxious now.

    no clue since FF says afternoon is better BUT maybe they think they will hit the target better?  Good luck!

    Maybe because the later time was just catching the beginning of your surge and they want to do the IUI as close to your actual O which would be closer to Wednesday morning.  I didn't have my IUIs based on OPK, but based on trigger shot.  I always gave myself the shot around 8pm (say Saturday) and then they had me come in around 10am (Monday) because the trigger shot would be starting your surge and by Monday morning would be peak for O--so along the same premise as what your RE is doing with OPKs.

    I can't help you cause I don't O on my own I had to trigger.. and than IUI.

    My IUI's have been in the morning.  I think it's because it's convenient for the doc.  Not sure the time of day would make a difference.

    I'm not sure.  If it was me, I would probably call and ask my dr. I almost always O the day after I get my first +OPK, so for me, doing an IUI two days later would be too late.   I have read that with IUI, the best timing is within 12 hours either side of  O, so hopefully, you will be ok.
