Should I cut DD's hair?

I dont really like bangs, its where she can tuck in behind her ears but sometimes it gets in her face.

She used to be good about keeping clippies in but recently she has not.

I dont know what to do, I think they look so "grown" up with cut hair.

I want it to be long with baby curls but I am thinking maybe I should just do it.

Re: Should I cut DD's hair?

  • I would. Hair in the eyes can hurt their vision, or so I've heard. Also, she'll have plenty of time to go bang free and bangs are SUPER cute on little girls

  • While I am assuming that you don't normally plaster her bangs to her forehead with an Olivia Newton John head band if you aren't really on top of clips and head bands I would trim the bangs.  It will look cute.
  • I know I can't stand it when my hair is in my eyes.  I always feel badly for little girls (or boys) whose hair is hanging in their eyes and they're constantly brushing it out of their face.

  • I got McKayla's bangs cut but left the sides and back alone so she still has cute curly pieces.

ETA: Siggy pic was prior to getting her bangs cut :)

  • I hated DD's hair when it was long, shaggy and in her eyes.  I had it cut into a super short pixie cut and it looks adorable.  Now I don't have to worry that she'll eat a clip either!
  • I think I'm going to have to break down and trim DD's bangs.  She refuses to wear a barrette or clip, and lately her hair is always in her eyes.  It drives me nuts.  I'm not trimming her curls, though :)
  • i wouldn't. i, like you, do not like bangs on toddlers. she'll learn to a. brush it back or b. let you put it up.
