....please! I had to cancel my gym membership to save money and I am slowly going crazy without regular physical activity! I try to get out and walk with Max on my days off but the weather doesn't always permit that. We do have the Wii Personal Trainer and I've done that a few times. It's nice because I can do it while he's napping. Except now his naps have gone to hell and he often only sleeps 30 or 40 minutes. Anyway, I'd love your ideas for fitting in exercise! DH leaves really early in the morning so I can't go out and walk in the morning while Max is sleeping.

Keri, I have some physical therapy excercises that are great to start out with and are low-impact, but kick your butt if you're interested!

You can get in a squat position with DS and throw him, rock him back and forth, side to side
"airplane" your ds, it's great for your core and your legs
"plank" with DS laying on the floor and you lower to kiss him or eskimo kiss him. THis can be done all sorts of way. Raise 1 leg at a time, switch on to your side, go from arms to elbows and back again repeatedly.
"wall sit" with DS on your lap and bounce him for arm exercise as well.
Lay on your back with your legs in the air, knees bent. Lay DS on your knees and raise and lower your legs. He'll have fun flying and you'll get a nice core/butt work out.
Go to a park/open space. Park DS in the stroller and run sprints to him and back. He'll love watching you and you can keep an easy eye on him.
I think the best exercise ever is to push a stroller up the hill. You can modify this all kinds of ways for a good arm/ab work out as well depending on which muscle groups you tighten. And you can squeeze it in easily since it only takes a few minutes if you have a hill near you. Throw a jacket and hat on DS and a flashlight in the stroller and have fun!
