Is DD too young to miss me and will she choose grandma over me?

She will be 3 months on Thursday. Today was my first day back at work and when I saw her, I didn't get much of a reaction out of her. I figured she's too small to understand that I've been gone for hours. But then I started thinking_ what if she gets used to MIL and I just become the woman that takes her away every evening? What if she cries when I grab her because she wants to stay with her grandma? =(

    Don't worry, she will ALWAYS know who her mama is. She is too young to really "miss" you just yet - but you have a distinct smell and voice that she will always feel familiar and comfortable with.

    My mother watches our daughter twice a week. I was worried she'd get too attached but in reality she is too young and she knows me. It has to do with my smell and...heck we were one (literally) for 9 months. She knows.
