I know, I know, I should know this... but can you take a 3 hr+ flight the day after an ET? I'm just realizing that I have to go OOT for work the next day after my scheduled ET and just thought I'd ask. Yes, I'm a moron. LOL.
TIA

Oh, and while I'm at it (i.e. asking my dumb question of the day), I will throw DH under the bus. He said to me, "Are you sure you can fly the day after? I would think that would cause a lot of pressure on your babymaker." hahahaha!

I am in the process of scheduling work for the week after my potential ET (hopefully in Nov) and am also considering flying. I am hoping that I will be up to a week out, but I guess since I have no idea how many days I will stim, or whether things will get to a 3 or 5 days- and got forbid any OHSS....
Flying shouldn't be a problem from what I've found on different sites. If you have ever looked at all the IVF vacations overseas- most people jump on a plane right after. That being said- I hope I don't have to do it!
I am sure that if I get a BFN I will wonder no matter what I do or don't do...

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

I was on 3 days of bedrest following my transfer, but my RE is pretty conservative. Like one of the previous posters said, if the cycle was a BFN, I'd probably regret/wonder about flying so soon after transfer.
TTC#1 since Mar 2008. Serious MFI due to cancer.
3 cancelled IUI's, just about every test in the book.
IVF#1 - BFP! Twin girls arrived 2/5/10 at 35w2d.
I had to fly to and from Minneaplis the day of my ET and the RE knew it. It was fine. This RE just said take it easy the day of ET so just needed to not be standing or walking much. No bed rest with this one and I got a BFP (though I did have bed rest for 2 days after my ET with my unsuccessful fresh cycle with other RE).
Re: dumb ? alert --> the day after ET - can you fly?
I personally would not. Depending on your REs bed rest requirement he may not let you.
I would verify and then potentially cancel the business trip. If I got a BFN or had a m/c I would always wonder if flying was the reason why, KWIM?
