Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 31 and 2 days. No new pains - just left hip and right rib pain.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? I am having a f/u ultrasound this wed! yay!
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? The 8th - nothing special will be going on - just checking in.
4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? What do you drink besides water and juice? I work in a medical facility and I am required to get vaccinated. : (
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? I told my friends and family early - before 10 weeks.
6. What resources are you using to find a nanny or in-home child care provider? (for my SIL). The internet is my friend when it comes to this.
7. When did you start wearing maternity? around 14 weeks. :
8. When will/did you start decorating and preparing the nursery?? I started getting things in order around 16 weeks. I didn't want to be husseling at the end.
9. Where did you do your birthing/child care classes? What did you find helpful? I am not taking birthing classes due to having a sched c-section and am not taking any child care classes.
10. When is a good time to tour the birth center? To register? When do/will you start finding a pediatrician? I would say 30 weeks and beyond to take a tour. I am looking as of now for a pediatrician so that I make sure I find one that will be covered and has good reviews.
11. What car seat are you getting or do you have? How did you pick? I honestly cannot remember at this very moment. My husband I researched online and in the stores.
12. Tips for comfort at work - when you sit for 8-10 hours a day... Make sure that you get up and take a lap in the office or just stand and stretch. You don't want to spend to much time sitting or standing at one time.
13. What music are you loving right now? Anything that moves me.
14. Questions for next week? None at the moment.
Second Time Mom Q?s:
1. Do you feel a little less connected to your 2nd pregnancy than your first? Yes, I think it's mainly because of being so busy with DD and working full time. I feel like I haven't really gotten to do the little fun things like you get to do with the first. Doesn't mean I don't love him just as much - just makes it hard sometimes.

TTCing Questions
1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW? Cycle #2, 2WW (of death). I hate this!
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? For it to be over? Truthfully, getting caught up on my TiVo and getting more of the condo cleaned out.
3. I've heard that some doctors recommend going to see them after 6 months of TTC, but others say wait a year. What did you doctor tell you? My question.
4. I want to use OPKs, but it says to use them during the hours I'm at work. If you work, how did you deal with OPKs? This was the first cycle I used them and I did them twice a day. The second I did in the early evening (between 5-7), so that helped. During work I just snuck away to the bathroom and did it. Fortunately, it?s not too hard to get away from my desk most of the time for 5 minutes.
5. What music are you loving right now? Hmmm?no idea.
6. What is your Monday confession? I really, really don?t want to go to my nephew?s 2nd birthday party on Saturday. Love him, but don?t love his mom. We?re not planning on staying very long, in large part because there are going to be more than 25 adults and 15 small children in their house and it will be a zoo.
7. Questions for next week? Has anyone had many/all the symptoms of ovulation (ovulation pain, back ache, EWCM, three elevated temps in a row, etc.), but still not gotten a positive OPK? What time(s) did you test?
TTCing Questions
1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW? Cycle 9, IUI#1, 2ww... I was actually feeling kinda hopeful til I started spotting a little, this morning. :-(
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? We're leaving for our anniversary trip to Seaside on Friday morning! 5 days of no obligations, great weather (IMO), quality time together, and another Kelli cake!
3. I've heard that some doctors recommend going to see them after 6 months of TTC, but others say wait a year. What did you doctor tell you? I didn't have a regular ob/gyn at the time, but I'm over 35, so I wasn't going to wait a year anyway. We tried about 6 cycles before we got help. I really wish we'd done testing sooner and not wasted so much time.
4. I want to use OPKs, but it says to use them during the hours I'm at work. If you work, how did you deal with OPKs? I've been using OPK's for a long time and don't really pay attention to the time. TCOYF suggests doing them a couple times a day so you don't miss your surge. So, I do one before work and one in the evening sometime. To be honest, I've never even read the instructions in the package.
5. What music are you loving right now? Dance music helps lift my mood and gets me moving.
6. What is your Monday confession? I confess that I hate the waiting game. There's so much darn waiting involved in TTC.

1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW? Cycle #5, waiting to O. I always seem to be waiting to O. Bleh
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? My uncle from Ok is coming up for a business trip so that is exciting to see him.
3. I've heard that some doctors recommend going to see them after 6 months of TTC, but others say wait a year. What did you doctor tell you? I didn't ask my doctor yet.
4. I want to use OPKs, but it says to use them during the hours I'm at work. If you work, how did you deal with OPKs? If I have to do it during work hours. I usually grab a small plastic cup from the water jug, go in the bathroom and use it. I slip the OPK back into the plastic and walk back to my desk and lay it flat in a drawer until time is up. = )
5. What music are you loving right now? All sorts.
6. What is your Monday confession? I am bumping more than working and I have A LOT of work to do.

Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? 21 weeks today Any new aches or pains? My back is sore and I think I'm going to need new bras again - my chest is SO sore!
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Heading back home to Ohio for a wedding this weekend
3. When is your next appointment? Next Tuesday Will anything special happen at that appointment? Routine
4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? I got my regular flu shot already and will get the Swine Flu shot when it comes time. My doctor highly recommends it, so I am going with what she says What do you drink besides water and juice? Sometimes sprite or sparkling water - otherwise mostly half lemonade half water.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? We told our parents and siblings pretty early on, about 6 weeks I think. We told people as we saw them after our 9 week ultrasound where we saw a heartbeat - we announced on Facebook at 12 weeks.
6. What resources are you using to find a nanny or in-home child care provider? (for my SIL). Think I'm going to SAH
7. When did you start wearing maternity? I think I started with the pants about 10 or 12 weeks, and it was the best thing I ever did. Don't wait - especially if you have hand-me-downs and don't need to go buy new!
8. When will/did you start decorating and preparing the nursery?? We're moving two months after baby comes, so we won't have one here
We won't be able to decorate/prep nursery until he is at least 2 months old - but hope to start registering and purchasing soon 
9. Where did you do your birthing/child care classes? We're going to sign up the Swedish classes soon, and take classes in the next couple months What did you find helpful? n/a

Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 20. Nothing new, same old backache and lots of stretching feeling in my stomach.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Hmmm, lots of good tv on! Otherwise, I'm hoping DH gets over the flu he's got (and I don't get it!). And getting my puppy dog Stella in for her surgery consult. I'm anxious to know what the surgery/recovery/bill is going to be so we can start planning for it.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 10/8. We have a reg. check up and our ultrasound w/ anatomy scan and fetal echocardiogram. I'm excited and nervous. I'm praying that everything with her little heart is ok!
4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? What do you drink besides water and juice? I'm getting the shots. I was hesitant at first, but since DH has had the flu for the last 5 days and he's been miserable on meds, I plan to do everything I can to keep it away from me and baby.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? We told immediate family at 5-6 weeks, extended family and friends at 9 weeks after our first ultrasound), work at 11 weeks.

7. When did you start wearing maternity? I got my Belle bands early, at like 8 weeks because I was so bloated. I'm still using them at 20 weeks. I've tried on mat. pants, but nothing fits right so far. Until I find something I like, I'll keep using the bella bands.
8. When will/did you start decorating and preparing the nursery?? We got her dresser at about 12 weeks, only because it was on clearance. We got the crib at about 18 weeks. That's all the further we've gotten. Still need to paint, choose bedding, get all the baskets and other stuff.
9. Where did you do your birthing/child care classes? What did you find helpful? We're doing ours at Swedish, but we haven't started yet...or even signed up.
10. When is a good time to tour the birth center? To register? When do/will you start finding a pediatrician? no idea...I'd love to see answers on this.
11. What car seat are you getting or do you have? How did you pick? We're going with the Chico Keyfit. It gets the best safety ratings and I like the style better than the Graco.
12. Tips for comfort at work - when you sit for 8-10 hours a day...I find that getting up and moving around frequently helps. Also, I try and walk at least 30 mins./day. Sometimes its just walking to/from the bus stop or walking the dogs, just getting moving.
13. What music are you loving right now? I listen to a little of everything. But lately I like to torture myself by listening to 106.9 and crying a lot at the sappy songs and stories. I like 100.7 too.

1. What week are you in? I'm 18 weeks now.
Any new aches or pains? My left hip and my lower back are giving me a lot of pain just now.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? I have my ''big'' scan on Friday, which I'm really looking forward to.
3. When is your next appointment? Whoops - see above answer! Will anything special happen at that appointment? Again, see above answer.
4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? I'm really not very sure about the swine flu shot. I'm really not. What do you drink besides water and juice? I'm a coffee addict. I have cut back - a little - but I find it really difficult to.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? My in-laws live in Texas, and they visit fairly regularly; they actually guessed before we knew. I told friends and work fairly early, although the constant throwing up probably gave it away.
6. What resources are you using to find a nanny or in-home child care provider? (for my SIL). We are very lucky having a friend who is a nanny, and she is going to look after the baby for us.
7. When did you start wearing maternity? Only recently - a couple of weeks ago, maybe?

12. Tips for comfort at work - when you sit for 8-10 hours a day... I regularly get up, and do some stretches. (I have my own office) I also go for a walk, usually to get some more water. My back and hip are causing too much pain for me to sit for any length of time at all really.

9. Where did you do your birthing/child care classes? What did you find helpful? We are taking them right now. Started at 31 weeks and our last class is Wednesday. A lot of it is pretty basic knowledge stuff, but this week is child care class and I'm really looking forward to it.

We took a tour with our birthing class around 34 weeks. I have a ped that is recommended by several people that I just need to call when the baby is born
11. What car seat are you getting or do you have? How did you pick? Baby Trend Flex Loc. It was highly rated in Baby Bargains and fits with our Baby Jogger stroller. And it was black and silver, which matches the stroller.
12. Tips for comfort at work - when you sit for 8-10 hours a day... Get up and walk around, maybe sit on a pillow, I've heard sitting on an exercise ball helps hip pain

Some days I get so excited thinking it could happen, and then I get terrified like, Wait there was so much I wanted to do (travel Europe and SE Asia! Oh South America too! remodel our living room! paint the house! lose 20 lbs!) before we had kids, but realistically they are things we wouldn't do beforehand anyway. I'm equal parts relieved and disappointed when I test and it's a BFN.

4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? What do you drink besides water and juice? No flu shots for me! I'm a big juice drinker...trying to be a better water drinker. Don't really drink anything else.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? We told one or two trusted people immediately and the rest of the world at 19 weeks. It was HARD to keep a secret.

7. When did you start wearing maternity? Around 26 weeks?, I think? It was hard to find pants that fit when you're at that medium sized belly stage. BIG fan of demi panel!! I still wear some non maternity stuff right now though. Lots of people poo poo the bella band, but I am STILL using it at 38+ weeks. Love that thing. Pregnancy has done an odd number on my body though so maybe I'm not a good norm.
8. When will/did you start decorating and preparing the nursery?? Um, about two weeks ago. Yeah.
9. Where did you do your birthing/child care classes? What did you find helpful? We started our 5 week birthing class 2 months before my EDD. It was well worth it. Just fun to be around other pregnant women and their hubs, comisserate, joke, practice awkward positions, and be totally grossed out by fun videos. Good times. Honestly I think it was best for my DH. It made it more real to him and gave him a wake up call about what to expect.
10. When is a good time to tour the birth center? To register? When do/will you start finding a pediatrician? We JUST toured ours 2 weeks ago. About 3 weeks before my due date. I registered at 20 weeks, and we started the pedi search a month ago, still narrowing it down.
11. What car seat are you getting or do you have? How did you pick? Chicco Keyfit 30. Best safety ratings, slightly bigger/long lasting, gender neutral colors.

I have heard that if you are over 35 years old, that you should go to Obgyn after 6 months of TTC. And that if you are under 35 years old, that you should waiting one year until going to doctor for infertility.
4. I want to use OPKs, but it says to use them during the hours I'm at work. If you work, how did you deal with OPKs? I use them in the morning. It works better with my schedule.
5. What music are you loving right now? Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Veronicas.
6. What is your Monday confession? My husband took me to see Fame this past Saturday--so kudos to my DH.

Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? 36 weeks 4 days Any new aches or pains? Nothing new but the pain is getting worse in my back, hips and lower abdomen. DH and I agreed no more babes until my back is at least somewhat fixed. I don't like the emotions I'm going through disliking the end of my pregnancy.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? My hair appointment on Tuesday. I love getting my hair done. Oh and I'm getting babysat on Saturday as DH and all family are gone for the day. So I'm spending it with a BFF hanging out.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? On Tuesday. It's just now weekly checks.
4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? DH and I talked alot about this. We are at least doing the regular flu shot but haven't decided about the H1N1 shot. Our Dr wants us both to get it. What do you drink besides water and juice? I'm bad...I drink Diet pepsi or diet coke but I can't not drink it. I also drink gatorade but I drink a minimum of 80oz of water a day cause I'm secretly a camel.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? My sister and two BFF's I freaked out to right away. DH's family was right before our first appointment but my family was right after our first appointment so I could have answers to all of their questions.
6. What resources are you using to find a nanny or in-home child care provider? (for my SIL). n/a as of now but would be good to know the answers in case I need it.
7. When did you start wearing maternity? I've only had to wear maternity pants and I had to start around 15 weeks. I just bought larger shirts.

I started working from home a lot when I was getting really big and uncomfortable. I couldn't deal with the sitting at my desk all day plus the 40+ min commute each way. My company was super flexible though.

Kind of and I feel bad about it - I'm just so busy with what we have in our life right now plus chasing DS. I don't think about this baby as much. I feel guilty already about the time I won't be able to devote undivided to each child but I'll just work it out and get over it!

This really depends. We did it early last time because the holidays were coming up and people wanted to buy something. I registered for gear in neutral colors and then added other things after the big u/s. When do/will you start finding a pediatrician? We did this in the third trimester. Probably around 32-34 weeks.

Yes. I hear this is totally normal though. I think for me it is partly because of my recent loss and partly because I have a lot going on in life as a busy mom. When I was pg with Kaylin, it was all so new and exciting and I had less distractions!
Thanks, chica! It's true, I know. And it's a bit early for AF to start spotting. DH and I are hoping (maybe stupidly) that it's implantation spotting. I was like a deflated balloon this morning. :-P It's not over til the fat lady sings, though.

I went into my pcp after 7-8 cycles, but I had a previous diagnosis of endometriosis so knew they might be issues. She immediately refered me out to a reproductive endocrinologist.
4. I want to use OPKs, but it says to use them during the hours I'm at work. If you work, how did you deal with OPKs?
I ended up doing both am and pm (about 12 hrs apart) especially after a few cycles when I was really able to pinpoint when to start testing based on other symptoms.

4. What are you going to do about the swine flu and regular flu shots? I got my flu shot last month before school started. If the swine flue shot comes out soon, I will get that as well. What do you drink besides water and juice? Coke, about 2-3 times a week. Ginger Ale or Sprite sometimes. I love soda. It is my downfall.
5. When did you tell people about being pregnant? I went in extreme waves. Told parents, ILs, siblings, and very close friends right away. At 11 weeks, told extended family and more friends. I had a gag order on all of these friends and family when it came to facebook, because I was still looking for a teaching job, and didn't want a teaching friend to see I was PG, word gets around to hiring principals, etc. After I got my job, knew that no school districts were going to be hiring, and we had had our "Big" U/S, I announced on facebook, emailed the school that I used to work at, the families of my first graders from last year, etc. That wasn't until 20 weeks! Ugh sorry for rambling.
