stroller question

ok so i have been salivating over those vintage looking pram strollers lately and i've come close to buying one a few times but have told myself not to b/c they're so expensive (the ones i like retail for a little over $1000)...  can anyone tell me if they're worth the money or are they a complete waste..?  this is my first pregnancy so i'm clueless.

    How long will this stroller last? I do think it sounds a bit expensive...but just like with weddings...people have priorities of what they want to spend money on.

    Me personally I wouldn't get it...I am all about finding the best deal on stuff. And $1000 on a stroller isn't something I would personally purchase.

    There would be no way I would spend that much on a stoller. I mean if you have the money to blow then go for it, but I don't so a chicco is fine with me! Think of how much other baby stuff you can buy with the difference in price.

    What about compromising and getting one that has a pram like bassinet but will turn into a regular stroller like an uppababy vista or a bugaboo something (frog?)

    I love the pram strollers, but we went the the bumbleride flyer.  It has a reversible handle.

    Maybe try the peg perego switch.  It's half the price $500 and will last a lot longer than a pram only stroller.
