m/s I'm about to cry

My m/s is so bad. I don't know how much longer I can take it. Crackers and Ginger Ale are a joke to me now. My sea bands don't help at all anymore. I'm trying to nibble on something every 30 minutes. I don't know what else to do. I called my ob and they won't give me anything just told me to eat crackers. If I have one more person tell me to eat crackers I'm going to freakin snap. I seriously want to curl in a ball and cry but I'm at work until 6. Does anything else help?

  • I found for me, that watermelon stays down and helps to reduce my nausea alittle. Also Jolly Ranchers are sometimes helpful. I'm really sorry and I hope it gets better.

  • try Bnatal pops they worked for me earlier and gave me some relief but now I'm feeling crappy again. I think it's due to my cookies n cream and french fries lunch though...
  • Ugh, I'm sorry hon. Nothing at all helped me the first time around, including the drugs. Ginger Snaps were the only slightly comforting thing, so maybe try that. Also, sucking on Jolly Ranchers helped a bit as well. It sucks, and I'm sorry!

BTW - Crackers were the first thing I threw up, so I hear you on getting annoyed with that advice.

  • Watermelon and lemonade
  • Preggie Pop Drops (they are like sour candy) were the ONLY thing that helped me. I got them at Motherhood Maternity and Babies R Us - GL!
  • Really not much has helped me.  Salty chips, tasted really good yesterday and club soda with a bit of lemonade eases my tummy a little.  Maybe try sour patch kids??  Oh, ask your dr., a half a pill of Unisom at night really helped me.  Although you will be tired from them.
  • Actually, if you can get any down, the best thing for your stomach is protein.  If there's a time of day when you're at your best in terms of m/s, use that moment to try and eat an egg or chicken or something.  I know it doens't sound good, but medically it's the easiest thing to digest and will actually settle your stomach.  If it helps, keep eating small bits every 60 - 90 minutes.  Feel better!!
  • Have you tried B6 and unisom?  Didn't help me much, but a lot of sick women swear by it.  Check with your dr. but it is considered safe everywhere I have seen.  I've moved onto zofran...sorry your dr doesn't want to try something else. My first doctor with ds was the same way, but there is no way I would survive that misery again.

  • Thanks Ladies, I'll give this all a shot. I'm in so much misery one of my customers just caught me crying! Good thing she's a regular but it was still so awkward. She's so sweet she gave me a big hug :) I hate not being able to tell people about the pregnancy, she probably left thinking something horrible happened... nope it's just hormones and feeling like crap. I feel like such a baby, lol.
  • my m/s is pretty bad too. sour things don't help me, they only make it worse. i eat raisin bran for breakfast, then have an instant breakfast 2 hours later. i eat an egg salad sandwich for lunch. it's soooo gross to make that i have to have DH make it for me, but the protein really helps! then i have rice cakes two hours later. a lot of times for dinner i go back to cereal, but it helps! in between snacks, chewing gum has been a miracle for me! but i stick to bubble gum and fruit flavors, not mint. hope something helps... good luck, i feel your pain!!

  • Feel better.

Eat whatever sounds good when it sounds good. I had several weeks of not being able to eat anything but bagels and cream cheese and regular lays potato chips. Baby is fine and I'm able to eat healthy again.

  • Lemonade, also Lemonheads candy have helped me. When I really feel bad the best cure has been a can of regular Coke. I feel so much better afterwards. Trying to limit that to only a few times a week though.

GL and I feel your pain.

  • I was sobbing last night, bc I'm so sick of feeling nauseous. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it and every other symptom that means I'm pg, but it's rough!

I've tried lemon italian ice, which helps..and I agree with watermelon. I'd also agree with soda in moderation.

    Hope it gets better!
