DD does not nap. Hasn't been a napper from day 1. I think she feels as if she is going to miss out on something. At most she'll catnap if she is in the swing or we are in the car, but it's not a healthy 1-2 hour nap. This past weekend she took two 30-min naps each day and didn't want to go down to sleep at night. I'm sick of people suggesting cereal in her bottle or whiskey; I'm looking for legit suggestions. We have a pedi appointment on Friday so I'm going to ask then also. TIA.
Re: Looking for suggestions to get DD to nap
Do you swaddle? My DD has not been napping either. I swaddle at night and just swaddled her for her nap and she went to sleep a lot easier. When she napped in her swing, I would put the Fisher Price Sooth & Glow seahorse by her and sometimes that would help her drift off to sleep.
I let DD nap on our bed (she doesn't roll). I think she sleeps better because it smells like us. I pull all the blankets down, place her in the middle (swaddled) and then place a pillow on each side of her as a precaution.
Obviously this isn't going to work when she is able to roll and move around while sleeping.
