PIPs - if you're bored, I need help finding a dress
The invite says that the event I'm attending requires "cocktail attire". . . But, I heard most people were leaning more toward "black tie" last year, so I'm thinking maybe a little more than the typical black dress? I know that the NYC crowd is a little dressier than my Birkenstock/khaki-wearing Seattle homies. ;-)
Do all of these make you want to throw up? Too dressy? Not dressy enough?
I can't find anything I love. Please help!

What type of place is the event held in?
Do you think #3 is too short? I don't want to flash anyone, & I'll be attending with coworkers, but it's not a work sponsored event. . . I'm about 5'5", so I certainly don't have the crazy long legs that the model has.
#3 would be down past my knees, I'm 5ft LOL
If you're worried about that, you'd be tugging it down all night & fidgety. So don't do 3

Be honest!! I can't find anything I like either. . . I'm looking for: trendy, classy, fun, & a little hot. :-)
I like #1 best, then #2.
The short ones are pretty, but not for a grown up work function. They sort of scream "homecoming dance" to me.
