Why/How are the Kardashians famous?

My husband and I were talking about that this morning. I don't get it. What/why/how exactly are they famous? Something about their dad being in the Olympics or something? We don't understand.

Their dad was one of the lawyers on the OJ trial and thier step dad was and famous tennis player...I think their Mom did something too but I'm not sure.

I don't think there's any logical reason lol. Their step dad was in the Olympics. Their father was one of OJ Simpson's lawyers, I think. I think Kim became famous because she was good friends with Paris Hilton.

I didn't know anything about them until Kim Kardashian had a sex tape with R and B singer Ray J. After the tape was released, I started hearing lots about her.

Oh, that's right, I told him I thought it had something to do with Kim being friends with Paris Hilton. What brought this about is that I was watching something on E, I think Chelsea Lately, and we ended up watching Kourtney and Khloe (or however you spell their names) take Miami. And he asked me why Kim was more famous, because Kourtney is prettier (because, typical male thinking, of course the prettier one should be more famous), and I told him I thought it was something to do with Paris Hilton or their dad being famous, and maybe it was because Kim was older, but really I had no clue.

I don't know who Ray J is either, except that he also has a reality show. LOL!

And they have sh!t load of money which is why they have a reality TV show

Reality TV show = famous

also, the raitings are high b/c they are pretty and show off a lot ---which explains why my hubby thinks they are hot

Like everyone said, their father was a famous lawyer,?specifically?on the OJ case. Their step dad was a track and field athlete and won a gold medal for decathlon. Their step brother is Brody Jenner... which means nothing. Kim got famous for hanging with Paris (who is another person famous for nothing). Then Kim had sex with Ray J, who is Brandy's brother, made a sex tape and that got her on all the celebrity gossip blogs. Her sisters are famous because of Kim banging a dude and their mom just stepped in sh!t by marrying Bruce. ?The end.

and now Khloe is married to Lamar Odom or some basketball player that she met this summer and married this weekend. Kourtney is becoming famous for getting knocked up by her sometimes boyfriend who is an incredible tool.... Kim was with Reggie Bush but they broke up and she has had a lot less coverage as of late, with her sisters getting more - because of said wedding and pregnancy.

although i think the show and their family is ridiculous, kim has actually made her own money... not that she didnt have plenty before. but she started out selling random items on ebay and such and made LOTS of money. thats when kim came up with the idea of their store DASH. the other two just kinda tagged along. anyway, not sure how i know that... dang it! i feel so uncool now

LOL you're not uncool, I saw that on the E! True Hollywood Stories too that they had on them. I actually like the Kardashians, thats the only reality show I watch. They're just Hollywood socialites. Their mom was good friends with OJ's wife Nicole.
