Stupid dilemma - Christmas: Casual or Dressy?

Normally, this a no-brainer for dressy, but we really like to be comfortable, but look nice. I am thinking of going more casual with DD this year. She will still be in a skirt or skort with tights, but I think I am leaning against the fancy dress. It would be great for pictures, but other than that, she really wouldn't wear it anywhere.

So really, I want you guys to talk me out of getitng both. She doesn't need both and would just as cute in her pics wihtout the fancy dress, right?

    I'd go cute but comfy.  If you want the fancy pics, take her to get some professionally done in a nice dress!  But I know when I was little, I always wanted to be down on the floor playing on the holidays.

    If it's cold where you live, it may be easier to go casual.  A nice sweater would be a lot warmer and more comfortable than a frilly dress.  Just something to think about.
