  ahhh i get it now.

  i'm willing to bet that some idiot wasn't watching their kid and something happened, which caused rubbermaid to have to add that disclaimer. kind of like the ones on strollers that say "do not close stroller with child still restrained".

  I would bet it's in case the upper white straw thing somehow got detached and the child choked on it.

  If you're right there when he's using it, I would probably still use it. Or I might just get some sippy cups, to be on the safe side.

  It's kinda pathetic but I wanna go and see if it says this on my stroller now... lol.

  The one that came to mind was "caution Hot contents" on the side of Coffees from MCD's....
