1st appt. Go to OB or just general Check up?

in 1st Trimester

Ok, I live overseas and was not to schedule an appt. until 8-10 weeks. i am almost 9 wks. Did you request appointment with OB or just general doc and then get referred? I just moved here so I am not sure what to do. I have been taking prenatals and haven't had any bleeding, cramping, etc.

 Just wondering, thanks!

    I think every practice is different.  My first appt at 7w is history.  My second appt at 9w is with the OB.

    I'm overseas as well and I just made an appointment with an OBGYB at the western Hospital (in Beijing).  I don't have a family doctor here so I didn't really have a choice.

    Hi! I'm in the UK.

    I made an appointment with my GP, and he referred me to the ob/gyn that is in the practice. I know every office is different though. I'll be going for my first appointment on Oct 9th. I'll be approx at the end of my 9th week (according to thebump.)
