I think all of the chili I'm making won't fit in the crockpot.

Our crockpot is on the smaller side of average.  If it won't all fit, do you think I could cook it in my big stockpot on low heat all day?

    Can you just put some in a tupperware are refill the crockpot as needed? Otherwise I would thing it would be ok in a big pot, just make sure youstir up the stuff off the bottom so it doesn't burn

    it will be just fine in a pot on the oven... i usually braise my meat first for about three house in beer and coffee.. then add in all the goodies and cook for another hour or two just simmering on low.. i dont own a crockpot.

    It all fit, but just barely.  Next time I think I'll just do it on the stovetop if I'm home all day.
