  I think we started when he was about 2-3 weeks old.  Also, I think the directions say that they need to be a minimum of 8 pounds.

  once he could hold his head up on his own we would carry him facing fwd if he wanted to look around...but he still wants to be cuddled sometimes so we still do tummy to tummy to.

  i thought it says to only do it once they can hold their own head up. i don't think my DS likes it facing me, so i'm not going to use it until he can face forward.

  It depends on the baby.  They need to have good head control.  We only forward face nowl

  DD is 4 months old and we just started the forward facing about 2 weeks ago because she wanted to be like that when we were out and about.  DD is a little smaller, was 10 lbs 2 oz at 3 months so dont know if that makes a difference.  But really once we saw that she had good head control

  We started at 3 months for 20 minute periods. Dd has always been amazed by looking at things, and unless shes getting sleepy, she does not want to face me.
