But it's sooo pretty! I worked with someone who spelled it Mira (still pronounced Meerah) ... will that work? I think people will tend to pronounce it correctly if you leave the "h" off. Good luck!
I like it, and I would pronounce it Meerah, granted, I know a Mira who pronounces it that way. Occasionally she gets Myra, but that's not the end of the world.
Other Arabic names I like are Alia and Malia (but now I know there's the whole Obama thing--I just know a 40-something with that name and really like it).

I think it's pretty. I would have pronounced it correctly, just like Mira Sorvino.
I've actually noticed from looking through books, etc. that I like a lot of Arabic names.
