S/O cute babies

Or should i say not cute babies.

My sister is a very blunt person. She has once complimented a baby's nails because she didnt think she was very cute.

I said "her nails?? are you serious, thats all you could come up with?"

she said "she was in a onesie.. i had nothing else to work with."

I would hate to be that mother, I might have throat punched my sister.

    lol me too!!! i would be crushed if someone told me that my baby was ugly. i mean there are some babies that need to get a little older to grow into their looks and stuff, but i think all babies are adorable little miracles! (hhaa)

    Haha... DH did a similar thing at a Babytime thing we went to.  He told a mom, "What a strong name!!"  That's better than complementing nails!  Haha.

    My cousin was ugly, my mom said, "He has such pretty red hair."  His mom insisted it wasn't red...well it's been orangy red for the last 27 years, so I think it was red as a baby.

    Commenting on hair isn't always safe.

    OH, that's really sad. Poor kid!

    Sooo...wanna hear my confession? I don't think all the babies I see on these boards are cute. ::gasp:: All babies are precious miracles and I think they're all fab. But not everyone gets to be cute. Some have nice nails. LOL

    I think it might be a southern thing, as well as a generational thing (i've heard my grandmother & old ladies at church say it) - they say 'bless his/her heart' which essentially means you've got an ugly baby on your hands my friend. ;)
