need your help! wondering if I should test???

Okay Ladies..... I am freaking out...... DH and I planned to start trying in Oct. AF was suppose to be today. Went off the pill in April and has been exactly 28 days everytime.... NO AF this time! Since off the pill we have just used the pull out method. Heard it was 80% effective. I guess my question is should I test or wait. How many days after missed AF should I wait? Would I get a BFP? I have no signs at all of being pregnant. I thinking I am working myself up for no reason....... thoughts are welcomed!

    There's really no way to tell if you're "late" if you don't know what day you ovulated. (It can change every month and the day your period is due is determined by how long your LP is after you ovulate.) I'd give it another week or so and if no AF, then test. Smile

    Hi there...you probably want to change your name so it doesn't include your e-mail address.  I don't think the pull out method is quite that effective...and even if it is, there is still a 20% chance you could be pregnant.  If you are worried, then just take a test.   Smile

    Just take a test. Your periods can be irregular anytime even if you have had predictable cycles since coming off BCP.  You could have O'd late etc.  If you are worried then take a test and if AF doesnt come in with in 60 days of your last cycle, call your gyn

    Don't know.  Are you charting?  Do you know when you ovulated?

    How many days past O are you? Don't know? Well we can't help you... Take a test if its - try again a few days later

    no charting ..... just worried never ever ever been late and I know there is a risk with using the pull out method

    I would just take a test.  If it's negative, and AF still doesn't come in a couple days, take another.  Start charting too when you are actually TTC, it will help you know whats going on with your body so hopefully you won't have to stress like this again in the future Smile

    100% this. The $1 store tests are really accurate, although I totally understand how one would think they wouldn't be. Buy a couple of these, test with them. If you think you have a + with one of them go ahead and buy a digital or an Early Response test.

    First, why r u freaking out if u wanted a baby?  October is only like a week away...  Get happy!

     I'd say any time there's any chance you could be pregnant (which there obviously is) you should take a test.  They're $1 at Dollar Tree, so it's not a waste if you get a BFN.  And the tests say that you can get a result a few days before or any time after your expected period, so you're well within range with an early detection test, especially if you're usually so regular I'd think.  And you don't always get symptoms other than your missed period, especially since you're only a day late!  Good luck!

    Really, why ARE you freaking out if you want a baby?? It shouldn't matter what month you get pg. 2nd you posted this earlier this month and got tons of good advice, why didn't you take it?? If you did you wouldn't be asking the same stuff again.

    Seriously, read TCOYF and start temping, its really not that hard and tells you so much about your body. You are really lucky you didn't get flamed a lot worse than this, I guess the gold and silver posters are out for the weekend, lucky you.
