Gymboree alternate?

I took DD to Gymboree today using their free pass visit and she seemed to like it but it's an expensive commitment.  We both work full-time and tend to do a lot on the weekends so I didn't want to get tied down.  Plus she just learned to walk so I think if we do it we'll wait till she's a little older.

Any suggestions of similar but less expensive activities?   We're planning on doing swim lessons in the winter but that's all we have so far.   TIA!

  • Have you ever been to Kidz in Motion in Woodbridge? My kids love it and I think it's $5 to get in. The classes are reasonable and if you're enrolled in a class, it's only $3 to get in on non-class days. They have a lot in inflatables which may be too big for her right now but they also have smaller stuff for babies.

  • Check out the local rec centers too.  For county residents, they tend to be cheaper.
