so the pedi said that DD has low iron levels. She is vegetarian. They are putting her on an iron multivitamin and Im trying to encourage her to eat foods with high iron levels-so far its a fail. Today at different meals we tried avacado and soy bean. The only thing she liked was breaded bites with cheese and broccolli. I was just wondering what other foods are high in iron and is there anything that she might like??? TIA
Re: high in iron foods
Toward the middle is a list:

Cereals are fortified with it. Kale, spinach, raisins, broccoli, chard, I'm sure veggie burgers have a lot of it. Bean curd. And beans. certain beans have more than others.
You can also sneak stuff like spinach or tofu into stuff like grilled cheese sandwiches.
multi grain cheerios! they are sooo good!
spinich in a non heme iron so it doesnt absorb as well as a heme iron food would (like liver-ew!)
