really disappointed (recommended baby store)

Baby Bargains highly recommended an outlet store not too far from where we live.  DH and I went there today and were so disappointed!  The place was a total dump.  The 2 people working there were really rude.  The prices were not any better than any other place we've been to, and it was an outlet store!  The cribs there were actually more expensive than the one we liked best at BRU.

We actually found a crib that we liked and DH asked if they had a tape measure so we could measure the back of our SUV to see if the box would fit.  The woman snipped at him that it wouldn't guaranteed.  He asked about taking the pieces out of the box and laying them in the back and she just rolled her eyes.  He wanted to double-check and went out to the parking lot.  I don't know if she thought I went with him, but she started ridiculing him right there and in front of other customers!  I was so pissed that I told her she lost our business and we wouldn't be back.

    We were at the outlet store and then went to the main store afterwards.  When we asked some questions about mattresses in stock, the woman there asked if we had been to the outlet store yet because everything we asked about was there.  I flat out told her that we were already there and did not see any mattresses.  I also told her that the people there were incredibly rude to us so we would not be back.  I really hope that she called over there and chewed them out.

    She asked us if we saw everything on the loading dock and on the 2nd floor.  Um, the rude woman working there didn't tell us about either place!  There were no stairs in this small place that we could see and the rude woman didn't direct us anywhere else.

    That's awful. I'm sorry to hear that. Where are you from? What store did you go to. My husband and I purchased furniture from a store recommended by baby bargains and were very happy

    We live in RI and went to Baby Boudoir (and the outlet) in New Bedford, MA.

    I'm from MA and went there as well. The outlet was a total dump! The store was small but had nice stuff. We saw a set we liked but actually purchased the same set at Boston's childrens warehouse (which is also in the baby bargains book). They have a store in braintree and reading

    We're going to check out the Braintree store next.  We did pick out a crib that we liked at BRU, but wanted to see if there was anything we like better elsewhere.
