I'm actually going back PT, so I'm not a SAHM, but I have been home for the past 2 months with LO and I thought I would share a funny comment made by my clueless but lovable friend the other day. She took the day off because she and DH had a long anniversary dinner the night before and she drank too much. She was driving to the mall to get some new fall clothes (namely a $200 coat from Nordies) and she said- SO this is what it would be like if I were a SAH Mommy like you!
Mind you I was covered in spit up and hadn't had a shower yet and was waiting for LO to wake up so I could make a mad dash to the grocery store for dinner food before DH made it home!
Just thought you SAHM's would appreciate how entirely naieve we all can be about how hard it actually is before we have children.
Re: Funny comment about SAH
Whatever do you mean, daaaahling? I practically live at Nordies. That is, when I can fit it into my busy schedule of bonbon eating and debauching the pool boy.
That's exactly what I did today! I looove my new coat from Nordies! And my 3 new pairs of high heels, too. I mean, you can't go to Nordies and not get shoes, right?
LMAO!
That was a fun fantasy. My big excitement today was walking with DD down to the gas station 2 blocks away and buying a slushie.
