major charlie horse last night!

I get charlie horses in my calves from time to time, but last night was whole new experience. I had simultaneous charlie horses on my right leg in my calf, shin, top of my foot, and in the arch of my foot. I've never experienced such excruciating pain before. A single charlie horse is bad enough, but 4 at once was unbearable. It lasted for maybe 10 minutes. Usually, I can get up and walk it off, but doing that last night was not possible.

I use to get them all the time, before getting pregnant. But I found a glass of milk helps. I read somewhere calcium helps.

I have stopped trying to stretch my legs while I'm laying in bed because every time I would get cramps. They are the worst!

i have had some like that - i just wake up from sleep screaming, and then of course dh gets all freaked out. it is EXCRUCIATING!!

Try eating a banana before bed, the potassium helps alleviate cramps.

I get these if I strech my legs in bed ( like a pointed toe stretch). I find that when I skip my prenatals it happens more.

I have to jump out of bed and stand on that leg and pull my toes toward me, it hurts at first, but it's the quickest way to get rid of them.

Oh girl! I know how you feel, I had one of those at the first of the week. It was sooo bad. Mine was so sore for like 3 days, and is finally gone and anything I did to help stretch it out would hurt worse.
