I'm excited... DH and I don't have any health insurance, so even though we're TTC we've been looking at the cost of L&D for out of pocket, and eventually came to the conclusion that a home birth (if I end up being low-risk) would have to be the best solution to our financial needs.

Well, today, my MIL who owns the company DH works at, and is his boss, sent DH an e-mail with two group health insurance plans to choose from, with my MIL's company paying half the premiums. I immediately looked to see if maternity care was covered and the answer is YES.

Shortly before recieving this e-mail, I was thinking to myself, "is this really the right thing to be doing?" (not that we would have been able to get insurance any other way that would be affordable, to the point of it would have been cheaper to just pay for the birth of our child when we get KU - where there is a will there is a way, and we just weren't keen on waiting any longer.) - Just something sank in my heart this morning and it's been a soruce of such stress for me and for it to be somewhat releived is such a weight off our shoulders. I can breathe easier now

(My MIL doesn't even know that we're actively TTC, this was all her..)
