Snap N Go or Reclining Stroller

Hi All.  I'm wondering if you guys who have traveled with a 0-6 month  old can give me tips.  I'm going to fly (2 hr flight) with my 3 month old I'm trying to decide if I should just get the snap N go or get a stroller that reclines.  I feel like the snap N Go is already $70 and wont be used after 6 of 7 months and the stroller can still be used long after.  What are your thoughts?

  • DD is only 3 months and I dont' use the Snap N Go anymore. She loves to seat in the stroller.

  • I can't tell you how much I love my snap and go. I have a small car and it folds up so compact and it's such an easy stroller to unfold yourself. Everyone that has helped babysit my LO have commented on how awesome that stroller is. Even if it doesn't last as long as some others, it's so worth it for the convenience.
  • Not many reclining strollers are approved for a LO that young, and you don't know what your LO's head control will be at that age.  If you go the Snap-n-go route, check your local craigslist.  They are often listed on there for 1/2 the price.

We traveled with DD when she was almost 3 months and took the carrier and snap-n-go.  This was easy for us and we gate checked both.

  • I got the City Mini stroller and a car seat attachment for my Graco carseat.  The stroller is super light weight and easy to travel with.  The car seat attachment is about $50 but it is so easy to just keep DS in the seat and not wake him or irritate him.

  • I love the SNG for running errands in the car - it's so easy to pop her in and out without waking her or taking a bunch of time. Plus, since it doean't take up much room, we can just leave it in the car trunk and it's one less thing to think about. I think it also takes up less space in restaurants, etc, than a stroller with carseat attachment.

But I don't like it for walks, because she can't really see out. We typically put her in a carrier for walks and are going to buy a reclining stroller soon. So if we were going to go to, say Disneyland, where we'd be wandering around all day and not driving around much, I'd prefer a reclining stroller. But if we were visiting family and driving between homes, hotels, restaurants, etc, and only taking short daily walks, I'd prefer the snap-and-go.
