Ever since I brought my DD home from the hospital she has slept in the napper part of her PNP. She is now getting too long for the napper and I would like to move her to give her more room. At night if she is completely asleep I don't worry with the music or vibration. But if she isn't in a deep sleep I have to put on the vibration and music. And I take a receiving blanket and tuck it around her from the waist down. She has never been swaddled at night and I was wondering how I could keep her warm at night besides just laying her down with just a sleeper on. Wouldn't it be risky to lay her in her crib with a blanket on top of her?
Re: Moving DD to crib or other part of PNP
I am too paranoid to put a blanket in there. My SIL was giving my nephew a blanket early on and she went in there one night and he had it twisted around his neck and his face was turning red. Of course he was like 6 or 7 months and really tossing and turning by that point. I'm sure your 2 mo old would be fine, but IMO its just not worth the risk.
My DS did not get a blanket until after he turned 1.
sleep sacks. i have a couple from carter's that are sleeveless, so i can adjust (long/short sleeve onesie) based on the temp in the house.
DD kicks her legs when sleeping and will not keep a blanket on her.
you can also lay the blanket all the way across the crib and tuck it in behind the mattress to keep it in place.
DD sleeps in a woombie right now, but when she no longer does, we plan on using the blanket sleep sacks that go over her sleeper. I am going to bring one of these to her daycare as well, since I know they won't use blankets and I don't want her to be cold.
I wouldn't risk using a blanket... my DD can scoot herself all around her bassinet, and I know she'd end up with a blanket covering her face if we used one (that's why we got the woombie to swaddle!)
