I have such a smart big boy now, I have to AW. J was 3 months yesterday and it seems like he's just turned amazing corners in the last 48 hours, like holding his head up when we pull him up by his arms, looking into my eyes and having long conversations with me while nursing, pushing up to 90 degrees while on his tummy, Grabbing for and playing with toys... Just now I tried to put him down for his nap at his usual time - he wasn't acting very tired so I just left him in his crib and went downstairs. I heard him talking to his mobile for about 10 minutes, and now he's asleep! I can't believe he went down by himself!
When he was a newborn I didn't want him to get any older/bigger, but I just love where he is right now, he's like a real little person.
Thanks for letting me gush. ?
Re: AW re: naptime
DD growing has been the most amazing yet sad thing for me. I love seeing her learn and grow, but I sooo much miss my itty bitty baby.

Each phase is so special just for what it is. It's all so magical.
I remember DH calling me one night when I went on my 1st business trip after the baby. She had just turned 6 months. He had her alone all week while I was in Atlanta. He told me that this stage was his FAVORITE so far since she was a peach the entire week I was gone, and they played, coo'd and she was soooo much fun.
While he lOVED his Daddy's girl toddler now, he still says that 6-7 months was his favorite time.
