And just pump instead? I don't want to completely let my body skip the feeding to avoid supply issues but sometimes she could sleep all the way through one feeding.. Mom always said never to wake a sleeping baby lol..
As long as your baby is up to their birth weight, I say let them sleep and pump! You'll want to start building up a stash anyway...you never know when you may want a night out or something.
There will be times that you truly will not have time to pump because it will seem like your baby will be at the boob all day. Take advantage of sleepy times!

i always let him sleep- and only pumped if it was a mid day feeding. early am, or night feedings i let go b/c he was learning to sleep more and my body needed to adjust

Not at 3w old - I was waking her to feed until I was assured she was gaining appropriate weight, per my LC's and pedi's instructions. Mom was wrong about never waking a sleeping baby!

right around 3 weeks we stopped waking him. I have never pumped if he slept but he doesn't havea schedule, we just feed on demand. I would be concerned about pumping & emptying my breasts and then him waking hungry....maybe just pump one side? I always pump following a feed.
