I did not read the OP about the C&P but I am going to throw this out there anyway. I think you are a semi-regular/regular on here. So why be a regular on a board that you love to C&P from so often? I have never actually had an issue with you (that I can remember at least) and yet I know you have C&Pd me more than once. And I totally understand that anything I (or others) have posted here is on the internet and therefore public info, but why bother? What does it do for you?

I have C&P a few posts from here and leave the name of the poster off. Yesterday I did a LIP.
People have C&P from other boards here. This is done all over the Knot/Nest/Bump. It's nothing new and will happen as long as message boards on any forum are around.
It's Link in Post - you know, when you want to make fun of someone so you copy the link of their post to the ML board so THEY can come over here and make fun too. Or you want to show ML what an idiot said poster is. If you do something like this, you are trying to get ML to see how much better you are than the OP.
Just because it's done all over the Knot/Nest/Bump doesn't make it right when you're dealing with a board that has some serious posts. It's really prettyshitty.

I actually had no idea you did this. If it's done for the purpose of making fun of the poster, I still think it's ashitty thing to do.
Sometimes they are worth being made fun of and sometime they are worth getting reemed.
It really just depends. I think the last person I C&P'd was the chick who's husband wanted to get custody of the son he hadn't bothered with in five years or something.
I took that to the MN board because I thought she deserved a smack in the back of the head.

As for the Oh, but they are going through something rough, yeah, so are half the idiots on RE, S&R, and elsewhere. Doesn't stop me from pointing out the ridiculous, if indeed there is ridiculousness worth calling out.

Karma, I honestly cannot remember for sure. Was it you that C&P'd me because I made a comment about how I do not understand why people that are not married TTC? I am not sure if that was meant as a bash or a discussion but I still do not get the need to C&P.

None have you have ever taken a conversation you were having with one set of friends and carried it to another?
And why do people seem to think that this board is some kind of special snowflake exempt from the generalities of message board tendencies?

Like Astros, if it's to mock and be sh*ts about it...then interestingly enough, I think the same as you Hind...they need a smack in the back of the head.
This board isn't exempt. The majority of us regulars just don't sink to that level and actually enjoy the lack of petty snarkiness. Occassionally I go to other boards and post and almost always I get some catty, stupid response. It's like I'm walking into a pack of teenagers at a slumber party.
It gets old. Especially coming from a bunch of mature women.
Call me crazy, (because you know I am) but I don't take exception to common courtesy and respect just because I'm online. You can still get your point across without being a complete b*tch about it.

I just find it funny/odd that there are some women who deem what is stupid and what is okay (almost in an authoritative position)... and when they chose what's stupid they justify it by getting other women to gang up on the victim. Kind of cruel if you ask me and I have always had a problem with this. Women are so quick to cut up other women.
I admit we have all had our eye roll moments, and there have been a handful of really ridiculous posts (anyone remember the xjacqui lady) but those are pretty far and between.

Why do we have to go through this? Just accept the board for what is it and stop pretending it's some kind of warm frolic through the fields kind of place where we sing kumbaya and never ask an outside opinion.

I'm all for some C&P fun. But let's be honest about what it is. Just like you said sometimes people deserve a good knock on the head, other times it's just so ridiculous you have to share a laugh with your other friends.
What I find eye roll worthy is when someone tries to claim innocent in those motives. As if they weren't trying to start something or bring their friends in on the fun. As if they didn't know what a C&P or LIP would do.
I'm perfectly fine that there are so few regulars and it's secondary board for a number of people. Great! Less bullsh*t and snark. If you want snark...then you have a bajillion other places to go. Take your pick from the list on the left. You'll find it.
As far as passive aggressiveness - that's a good laugh. I think the mocking that comes from C&Ping and LIPing that goes on other boards is extremely PA.
Sanctimonious? What? To speak up and say, I'm tired of this unnecessary rudeness? Fine. Then add that to my list. I'm Crazy AND Sanctimonious.
Continue if you want. I'm not telling you or expecting you or anyone else that enjoys this sort of thing to change - just recognize that a good number of us don't like it, this is how we feel about it and if we think you're being an ass - we'll call you out. And it could very well discredit you and your opinione with us...which means you're wasting your breath.

And Hind....Yes. we know you don't give a ratsass what anyone thinks of you and your opinion. Which justifies that the C&P and LIP and mocking that goes on elsewhere - and even here, is for you own enjoyment. Why do all boards here have to filled with that crap? It's rampant and there is a gaggle of regulars on every board. They all dictate the mood of the board. It just so happens that the majority here isn't about that. Why? Because if you look at our posts - we get enough of it in our lives.
