This has been a busy week! We found out last night that we are having a shower in NC on Jan 2nd! That means that we will fly my boys to IN when they get out of school for Christmas break and then drive down to NC after Christmas. I am so excited!!
I'm in all maternity clothes today - pants & top. It feels so good.
My nausea seems to have passed - finally. Of course the heartburn is still around and I expect it to be until I have the baby. We have our big u/s on Oct 30th. I'm ready!

My first tri screen was Wed. the nt scan measurement was in a normal range, this ultrasound put the baby at 13 w 4 days. I was actually physically shaking after I saw LO on screen. Our beautiful baby. WOW! What a change since the last ultrasound, saw a nose, mouth, spine. The booger was not cooperating so she pressed down a little harder and then LO wouldn't stop moving for a little while, I am so glad the sonographer was so great. I'll try to post the picture in my siggy later, if I can. I am on cloud 9. The heartrate went down to 152, my OB said it was a normal change not to worry.

Oh Shannon - the big u/s!! So exciting! I hope little one cooperates for you!
Jackson and I are doing great. He is such a sweet baby, but he did keep me up all night and that's not like him. I am so tired right now!! And of course he is sound asleep! I think I may join him........
Shelley - go to SLEEP!
I know you know that you are supposed to sleep when the baby sleeps! lol.

Hi all and Happy Friday!
Well today we are officially under 50 days (49!). DH and I were talking about it this morning and if she comes exactly at term, it's only 4 weeks away!!! Full term 7 weeks.
Since my OB appointment on Monday, I've been on a modified bed rest of sorts. I can continue to work, but must take frequent breaks to put up my feet and must be off my feet in the evening. I'll should get the urinalysis and blood work results back today that will let me know if I'm spilling protein into my urine and how my kidney/liver enzymes are. When I dropped of my urine sample Wednesday, my BP was back down to 122/74 so I'm hoping she'll say I can do work around the house - because there is sooooo much to do! DH has been great - shopping, cooking dinner, cleaning...I know it's hard on him too.

It's like I am second on the list! It is amazing the time has flown. In the beginning, my due date seemed so far away. Today is my last day of work!
This weekend, I am just planning on resting and relaxing. DH's mom, brother and SIL are bringing dinner over on Sat.

Wow, I'm moving right on up the list. I can't believe how time has flown after the 1st trimester.
Sunday, I am going to the Ravens game with DH and his friends. He has season tickets and this is probably the last chance for me to go also before the weather gets cold and get too big to be comfortable there. Also, on Sunday I will hit the third trimester!
Yesterday at Target they had Christmas stuff out. That really let me know that the countdown is on.
Hello!
Went to the doctor on Tuesday. The doc couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler so we had an ultrasound done. Everything is great! The baby is measuring bigger than expected so they moved my due date to 4/8/10. It was so amazing to see our LO on the monitor! Made it very real, especially to DH who now talks to my belly

Still having fibroid pain, but the XS Tylenol is helping. Now on weekly doctor watch.

That sounds like fun, Shannon! What a nice trip to look forward to for the holidays. No one has yet offered to throw a shower for me (I am 16 weeks also), but one friend has dropped hints about it. So hopefully I won't be forgotten. Then again, I worried that nobody would throw me a wedding shower and then there were three
I had my 16 week appt yesterday and all is well. It took the doctor a while to find the heartbeat, which worried me for a split second, but then it was there - 152 bpm. I have only gained 1 lb. since my last appt and 4 lbs. total, but my belly feels like it is huge. I am starting to wear some maternity dresses because they are comfier than suits. I was hoping my doctor would give me the okay to eat two bites of salmon when I go to sushi on Monday, but she said no - so I'll stick to the cooked stuff. She did say she picked up carryout sushi on the way home from the hospital with her twins, so she feels my pain and I will likely do the same if dh lets me!
I miss, miss, miss sushi!
Hey Ladies. I'm having a great week. My little man is super active, which I love. We are moving our office location this week, so it has been a bit crazy, but my co-workers are taking pity on me and I won't have to do much of the unpacking. My LO is sitting very low, head down, so I am getting pretty uncomfortable and realize it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
Now the good stuff...my baby shower is tomorrow. I am very excited! Yesterday my younger sister called with some big news of her own. She is expecting and is 20 weeks along already. She wanted to tell me before showing up at my shower with a baby bump of her own! I understand that she was hesitant to tell anyone too soon because last fall she had a miscarriage at around 11 weeks and had just told the family she was expecting only to have to turn around and tell the sad news. This time, she has taken it very easy and although she had some spotting at around 7 weeks, everything looks great. She just had her anatomy scan yesterday and they are pretty sure it's a girl. She goes for a followup scan next week, just to get a closer look at a couple of things and should get final confirmation on the sex then.
I think it's absolutely awesome that my son will have a cousin about 3 months younger than him! I am so happy for my sis. After her miscarriage she had difficulting conceiving again and went to a fertility specialist where they found out that her husband has a low count, so low that they would probably need IUI or IVF, but they got lucky the old fashioned way, which I am so thrilled about! I can't wait to see her tomorrow. I feel like I wasn't totally sharing my pregnancy with her because I felt bad about her recent loss, now I feel like I can give her a heads up of what's coming down the line. Her news is probably the best shower gift I'll get!
Everything seems to be going okay for me. I talked to a nurse about the results of my first blood draw from the NT scan. She said everything was in the normal range and not to worry...she wouldn't give me numbers, though. I need to wait until about two weeks after my second blood draw in Oct. to get the results from the doctor.
Five days until my next OB appointment. Looking forward to hearing the heartbeat and getting scheduled for my big ultrasound to find out the gender!!

I have been doing okay although the back pain is getting to be unbearable. I am so glad to not having to sit at desk after today. They will talk about induction about a week after I go over my due date.

Had the NT last week and got the results back yesterday, all is well. Great heartbeat and all results in normal limits. We told the older kids and they were excited. I still can't believe I am going to be the mom of 4!!!

looks like I made it to the Top Ten!! With only 29 days to go, H and I are really getting excited. We put the car seat in the car and interviewed our first person for childcare last night. Trying to tie up as many loose ends as we can at this point....

Wow! It is getting so close now - I feel like St. Patty's Day (date of BFP) was a million years ago! Had my 34 week checkup on Tuesday and everything went well. LO is still head up, so I'll be doing lots of yoga & coaxing over the next few weeks. I've been feeling so very good and am hoping to keep up with the gym until the very end. I think the water aerobics have been keeping me from bloating & from having sciatica pain.
Got a huge surprise from UPS yesterday - my BFF in NY purchased most of the items that were left on my registry! We were so shocked and BONUS - she is coming to visit this weekend so we can thank her properly in person!
We are down to the last few details in the nursery and once the wireless router arrives, we can get the computer/desk out of the nursery and move her dresser & my chair in there.

Wow, I'm up to number FIVE!
All is well here. The baby's out of the growth danger zone and up to the 14th centile, so the induction talk from last week is shelved, Yay! I'm having some weird bureaucracy issues with my maternity/parental leave, but nothing I can't handle. I'm huge enough to get the wonderful "twins/triplets" comments, but other than that and lots of naps I feel pretty okay!
I'm thrilled to see that everyone seems to be doing really well right now. I hope it continues!
Next appointment, Tuesday!
Can we trade spots? lol. Yay on your growing baby!!

Popping in to give a brief update and a correction. Hope all of you are doing well.
Correction: Aaron was born on 8/14 ? not 8/21.
Otherwise doing well. He's a big boy and 6.5 weeks old now. Time is flying by! I'm trying to transition him from the bassinet to the crib but I caved last night. And even though he's almost 7 weeks old, I'm thinking of getting the "Miracle Blanket" to swaddle him and help him sleep. He's not the best sleeper and I think he'll be a happier baby (and he's pretty even tempered) if he sleeps more. Heck, I'll be a happier MOMMY!
