XP: Has anyone ever done a baby pageant?

I'm thinking about putting DD in a pageant.  I don't care about her winning or anything like that.  It's not the kind in Toddlers and Tiaras.  Just a local annual festival.  WDYT?  They do the judging and then a baby parade.  DD is pretty easy going and loves going for walks in her stroller.  I wouldn't do it if the weather was bad or cold.  Has anyone done anything like this before?

    why would you want anyone to "judge" your baby?  That's just weird.

    I was going to enter lo in a 'bathing suit' contest...diapers only....wtf......so yeah that was a no.

    Creativity of the decorating of your stroller or wagon.  They have an actual pageant for older girls, but that's separate.

    There is this mom in our playdate group that drags her kids to every single pretty baby contest in the county. We all side eye her. I think they are awful. Her daughter is obsessed with that show toddlers and tiaras. She is so bratty going around telling everyone how many times she has won. We all just ignore her when she does.

    well then that's a stroller pageant, not a baby pageant.

    I probably need a hobby. :-P  It's in the middle of the day and basically people dress up their babies and their strollers and parade through town while the old people sit around and check out all the cute babies.  I know it sounds really lame, but I live in a rural town.

    Lol. I dont see any harm in that. I was never a fan of beauty pageants in any form, but that seems like it is more for fun than anything:)

    Eh, I have enough people ooohing and ahhing over my kids at the grocery or the mall. No need to go to a pageant.

    Oh well that sounds kind of cute/fun!  I love arts and crafts!
