Suggestions for 1YO Bday location mid-Oct

We live in the Commerce/Walled Lake area, and are currently seeking a location for our DS's 1st birthday. Unfortunately, our home is not an option because we're not as far along in remodeling as we'd hoped. Hence starting the planning sorta last-minute. Grandparents' homes are an option, but I'd don't want hurt feelings over choosing one home and not the other. So, we need some creative ideas for a venue. Indoors or outdoors, able to accommodate 30 people (mostly adults), within 1 hour of our home, baby friendly...

    Cider Mill.  Erwins in South Lyon have a great and clean pole barn w/ tables... Its super cute.  You guys could pick apples & Pumpkins!
