I didn't ask him to, he asked if he could and I agreed to it reluctantly.?

I went into labor the next day, but I was already a week overdue so who knows if it was the stripping or nature that got me there. ?

Nope! He stripped my membranes at 39 weeks and had to be induced at 41 weeks.

ETA: Yes and no it didn't work.

Yes the midwife stripped my membranes WITHOUT telling me! I was saying OW! that hurts! and her response was "Oh you handled that pain well...most women scream in pain" I wanted to say what the fvck did you do?? then she said she stripped my membranes. Geeze thanks for letting me know!

I went into labor 12 hours later and my son was a little over 24 hours after she stripped my membranes.

had them stripped twice, first time obviously didn't do anything. second time I was in labor 3 hours later.

Had Dr appointment at 5pm on Thursday and S was born Friday morning at 9:27 am!

Yes and Yes. Had them stripped at 10am on Wednesday, water broke at 2:30am Thursday morning, Brooke was born at 12:40pm. I was already dilated 3cm when she stripped my membranes. I was 39 weeks 4days at the time she stripped them.
