Babies: 0 - 3 Months

2 months and Im still fat : ( anyone else or am I the only one?

Yeah, I know 2 months isnt too long but it seems like eternity. I can NOT fit into my old clothes and I have a major pooch. I used to be the workout queen and I was always in shape but not anymore.

Im just really depressed.

Anyone else in the same boat?

  • No honey, you're the only one who hasn't lost all the baby weight yet.

Gag me.  I'm 3 1/2 months out and I'm still "fat" too.

  • I am right there with you!  I'm still wearing my maternity pants but my pre-preg shirts fit and don't look too bad.  I just started doing the 30 day shred last week, but not noticing much of a change on the scale yet.  I'm EBF so I have to keep my calorie intake up.  My goal is to get back into my pre-preg clothes by the time I go back to work at the end of November, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen.

  • With DS I was thinner about 9 months after I had him than I was before I had him.  However, I will note my body was NEVER the same.  A lot of things shifted and changed and a lot of my clothes never fit me again.  I'm really curious what happens this time, but curious with a lot more patience.

  • i'm 3mos pp and just started jenny craig this week - needed to do something about the fat.  I had given myself the rest of the summer to enjoy food and not stress about it- and started eating healthy after labor day- but it wasn't going to last unless i joined jenny- so glad i did!  hoping i will drop enough before i go back to work in a month to fit into my work clothes :)
  • 40 weeks to gain...so I give myself 40 weeks to lose.

I'm actually bigger than I was 2 weeks PP by 5lbs.

I go back oct 14th and I thought I would be back in my clothes by then. I guess Im so sick and tired of everyone saying to me "Oh, you'll lose the weight very quick, I just know it!". Um...no I didnt. Im so sick of this.::sigh::

Same here! I think I gained weight the first 6-8 weeks just because I'd eat in the middle of the night to stay awake.

  • I'm over 4 months and still fat.  I'm fatter now than I was around 24-26 weeks.

  • No, hon, you're definitely not alone. It is a lucky few who bounce right back within a couple of weeks. My advice: focus on eating as healthy as you can and being as active as you can - and then stop thinking about it. A watched pot never boils, you know? Also, spend the money and buy a few clothes that fit. Don't look at the size ;) You'll feel way better in clothes that hang right. I consider them part of my maternity wardrobe, which mentally really helped.

  • 7 weeks and still fat - my Dr. told didn't give me the OK to exercise until last week and Jenny Craig won't let you start until 6 weeks after with a Dr's note.

My Dr. told me it's OK to diet if your breast feeding - your body will just burn the stored fat faster.  I picked up my food and will start on Sunday.  It's a great program - food tastes good and you're never hungry.  I did it before I started IVF.  I hope to be back to my fighting weight prior to the first of the year.

I'm also starting my exercise program.  It's more about getting on a schedule that works for the baby and finding a way to eat right vs. eating anything that I can with one hand.

  • i feel like i look fatter now than when i was pg even though i'm back to my pre-pg weight. with the bump, the rest of my body seemed smaller in comparison and i could get away with over eating on occasion, b/c you couldn't really tell with the bump. not so true anymore. the stupid pooch is grossing me out. dh claims to think i look "sexy" but i swear he's just trying to get some sex... sadly for him, hasn't worked so far.
  • Still have 14 lbs to go and it's not like I gained a ton ---35 total.  But I know that with DD, it took me almost a year to lose it all (and then some) but I still couldn't fit into some of my prepg clothes.  Your body may change shape a bit.

  • I have 10 stubborn pounds left. Maybe if I got off my butt I'd lose them!
