do you have a stay-at-home business??

i'm starting to really consider being a stay at home mom for awhile and was wondering if any of you started businesses from your home.  if so, what kind of business is it?  how long did it take to get started? how did you advertise?  what were your biggest challenges?  also what do you find rewarding about it?

    Im trying to SLOWLY start a photography business. Challenges are finding clients because there are tons of people that are starting out. I just take pictures of kids I know and hope that someone sees them and will ike them. So far its rewarding just because I like seeing the finished products and the customers being happy with the end result.

    I guess I have a photography biz? At least I'm on my way to having one.

    It hasn't taken very long to take off thanks to word of mouth and this awesome board. I give a few biz cards to every one I photograph and also have the blog. A website it in the works and well as all the legal stuff (copyright, license, taxs...etc which is the hardest part).

    The most rewarding part it when people tell me how much they love their pictures. Makes all the late nights worth it. :)

    Etsy! Easy to start up, just takes a lot of hours to make the actual products. Once you get your first couple sales, it really starts going from there. The only hard thing so far is keeping up with the orders, since I am the only one making them. Its really rewarding to see people's feedback when they recieve the items!
