thrifty shoppers, help: winter coat.

Preface: I've lost enough weight lasts years coat is too big. I need a nice coat for winter, but don't want to spend more than 75 or so. Where should I look? (yes, I know that is a low budget, but that is what I am working with). Pips appreciated. Thanks!

  • I got my coat from Kohl's last year, but it was on sale.  I also bought a dress wool coat at JcPenny for $25 (originally $350), but it was at the end of the season and on big-time clearance.

I haven't seen any real coats out yet at places like Target or Old Navy yet...just jackets so far.

  • I always find great bargains at Marshalls and TJ Max.

  • If you can wait until the Black Friday sales, you could probably get a great deal then.  I bought mine at JCP during last year's Black Friday sale and paid around $40-$50!
  • Victoria's secret had some nice coats last year and they always have % off coupons you can get on the internet.  I got one in December for $30 and it is nice, though not super high quality (I was pg last year, so needed a bigger size).  It looks great.  I think they regularly have some in the 75 range.  I just bought a Jones of NY wool and cashmere coat at Ross for 70.  It is a black pea coat style.
