The grandparents are already bugging us about Christmas gifts! Clothes are always an option, but I am feeling clueless as to what kinds of toys my girl will want at that point (at Christmas, she'll be 4 mo). We have a jumperoo, swing, bouncer, bumbo, and activity mat, as well as a ton of stuffed animals and books.
What kinds of toys (or other things) will she need/be interested in, in the 4-9 mo range? The only things I have thought of so far are teethers (the Sophie, for sure) and a stacking toy.
TIA!
Re: parents of 4+mo LOs - Christmas Wish List
what about lovey blankets, taggies has an awesome one as well as angeldear, there are really cushy floor mats for lying on by the brand bestever. i also would recommend anything she can grip (like the toy below). would they get you anything non-fun like baby gates?
Proud mama to a boys- 6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12
Yes, they would, I have a few safety items on the list already. your LO is so cute!
I'm making a wishlist with two sites that sell wooden/European toys. I'm making a list, because both sets of parents love wishlists, and because as an Aunt I always wanted them for my nephews and my half-sister would never do it. Plus, this helps them find the nice wooden toys that may be harder to find in person. I'd much rather have fewer nicer toys than a bunch of junk. Not to mention that a lot of the plastic stuff is super branded, and I'd rather not push that upon my child before he wants that kind of stuff (I'm not delusional enough to think my little boy will never go through a thomas the tank type period
).
maybe some bath toys? I've also seen some neat toys that the baby can stand up at and play with...it allows them to hold it for balance as well.
Do you already have a convertible carseat? That would be a nice gift for you/DH FOR the baby. :-)
Christmas PJ's!
My LO will be 6 months on Christmas day...I put on his list:
Baby Einstein DVD's...since he likes to watch tv so much anyways...may as well be watching something educational.
Clothes (sizes 6-9, 9-12)
Lots of solid feeding supplies (sippy cups, bowls, spoons)
Gerber puffs
Fisher Price Space-Saver High Chair (which an aunt & uncle bought for us - we already have it)
Dream Blanket
The wooden wagon is another great site, but it focuses a lot on older wooden figurines. I'm going to try to slowly build a collection of wooden figurines so when he's at the age that he wants to play with them I have a nice set already. I can't afford to go out and buy 10-20 of them at once like I could a set of little people.
If you google European toys or wooden toys you will get a whole bunch of great sites.
