Bottle FYI!!

if you use Avent bottles, MAKE SURE YOU DON"T SCREW THE CAP ON TOO TIGHTLY!!! It creates a vaccum in the bottle and makes it harder for the baby to suck out the milk, thus causeing a boat load of gas, so if your little one is having issues with gas, make sure of that, , I learned the hard way and just figured this out, BOY WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Just barley screw it on, it wont come off, it will stay one,. Just didnt want anyone else to make the same mistake.

    This happens with our Gerber bottles also. DS was extremely unhappy until we figured this out.

    But they always leak, is there a way to screw it on not too tightly AND have them not leak?

    see mine actually leaked LESS when I loosened the cap, when I screwed it on too tight, it leaked more! but thats with Avent bottles, Im not sure about other brands.

    Same with Dr. Browns, at least in our experience. Too tight = leaks.

    Now that's info that I'm eager to try, darn Avent bottles, sometimes I lose 1/2 an ounce of precious EBM before I realize it's dripping all over DD:-(

    this. the key with Avent is to not overtighten them. Just screw the cap on until there's a little resistance. Usually you'll hear a tiny little squeak or 'pffft' (that's the only way I can describe it!).
