I believe I'm interested in working with a nurse midwife but in a hospital setting. Based on location, it seems that UW Medical Center would be an ideal choice (Swedish Ballard is another option but it's a bit further away)
Have any of you given birth at UW Medical Center? Did you work with a midwife? If so, who? How was your experience?
TIA!
Re: Midwives at UW Medical Center?
I have with both of my pregnancies. I had a great experience with DD, totally personal and loving care from the midwives, a great drug free delivery and I even was supplied a student doula free of charge. They were amazing. I just went back last week for my first appointment and I am excited to go through the whole thing again.
Also, my DD had to spend her first 72 hours in the NICU and her care there was great.
I definitely recommend UWMC
Brieanne -- thanks for the input! Was there a particular midwife you worked with that you really liked? or would you say that any of them totally rock?
