first birthday (yup I'm crazy!)

So my mom is to blame, she called today & said Michaels was clearing all the princess & pirate themed party stuff & too bad there were no parties coming up. Well I am a huge party person & have been thinking about DS' first birthday for a bit (BBQ in our back yard). As soon as she said it I loved the pirate idea so off to Michaels I went! Ha I got a ton of stuff, I spent $60 but it was all 70% off so I saved a ton! I got everything from cardboard treasure chests for kiddie favours to decor, napkins, balloons, thank you notes & even matchign scrapbook accessories for when I scrapbook the party. I even got L a tiny infatable sword I can picture him playing with next year! DH thinks I'm batty but is glad I got a good deal on it all. I am ALMOST excited to plan it next year but am a little sad to think he is growing so fast!

    I had my wedding shower stuff for over a year before it actually happened 2 weeks ago cause it was on sale at Michaels. You are not alone!!

    Sounds like I may need to make a trip too!  Thanks for the head's up! 

    We are having ours at a park (no room for everybody) and I will be calling sometime soon to book it (June is graduation party season).

    I can't wait.  Our family doesn't go all out for parties except for the earlier birthdays.

    Sometimes you have to think far in advance.

    I've already been looking at themes and invitations so I guess I'm a little crazy too but I just think it will be so much fun!

    Oh I totally am plannign Christmas, I started shoppign for stuff last Christmas when I got pregnant! LOL I have all his sleepers & baby's first Christmas stuff I got clearing for 80-90% off at the end of the season, i am a realy bargain hunter! I bought most of my maternity clothes before I was pregnant too!

    YOU are funny. I thought I planned DS2's 1st bday party early but you've got me beat. LOL

    But you won't have any regrets. Planning and celebrating a 1st bday is so exciting. I can't wait to do it again. I'll plan early, too. :)

    its our kids first bday--HELL YA WE SHOULD BE CRAZY ABOUT IT! I cant wait! Hs godmother and I already have certain cupcakes planned and a theme..its sad but exciting too.

    I bought party things on sale at Michaels BEFORE I got pregnant with DD#2 (I had a miscarriage last year).  My little one is having a MONKEY themed party!  hehe  Big Smile

     

     

    Oh I LOVE the monkeys!! That is going to be awesome!
