DD tore halloween costume..help!

so i TOTALLY screwed up and let DD wear her Halloween costume around the house today. It is a Cinderella costume. When we took ti off i realized it torn right in the front by her neck. The martial in that spot is like a soft netting or mesh in a silver color. I don;t have any clue how to try to fix it .Anyone have any ideas? I don;t think i could hand sew the stop due tot he netting type of material. I am a sewing dummy so any ideas would be appreciated. I am so mad at myself for letting it happen. We have a tradition of taking DD's pictuyre in her halloween costume and making it inot a card to send to famiyl and friends since we live so far away. I have not taken the picture yet and now the dress looks noticable torn.
