Not the grocery store, right??

I need a bunch for Isabelle's party and don't want to spend tons of $$ . I assume a farm, but which? (I'm up north)

Or, if you are someone that grows them I would gladly take some off your hands. I'll pay you in hugs. Or photos. Or both.

THey had fantastic ones at home depot ( big and tall ) for only $4, I was surprised. Tacoma boys is good too

I have a flyer/coupon thing from Swanson's nursery in Ballard. They have a special in October - all the pumpkins you can fit into their radio flyer wagon for $35.

Watch grocery store ads though. I think one year I got all my pumpkins for a pumpkin carving party at Top Foods, which they had on sale for 3 cents a pound. It was at the beginning of the month and my garage was cold enough to store them until the party. I would only do something like that again if I had cold storage (I had bought somewhere around 30 pumpkins).

So pumpkin patches are usually the MOST expensive place to buy, which is why we go and pretend and do lots of cute pics and then I go to the grocery and buy them which is where I have usually found the best prices about a week away from halloween. Fred Meyer usually has pretty good deals on them too!

I've had good luck at Top Foods, too, even closer to Halloween. I was only buying a couple, though.
